SYNOPSIS : To me, this is how I imagine a person looks like on the inside when fully balanced or unbalanced. The being within evolves in a beautiful inner home, undisturbed and of interchanging colors. It can be creative and fearless. The dancers are allegories of that state of being. In my videos and photos, the dancers’ bodies are painted on with an emphasis on the hara. In Japanese, ‘hara’ is the physical and spiritual center of a person and is located right under the navel. The dancers rotate with and around their inner center in slow motion.
